โ€‹Heather Darwent is based just outside of Edinburgh. Originally from Yorkshire, she came to Scotland to study History of Art at the University of Edinburgh. Her debut novel, The Things We Do To Our Friends was a Sunday Times Bestseller. Her second novel, A Sharp Scratch, was released in May 2025.

Kerry Law

The Craws Nest Collective, Currie

โ€‹Kerry Law is an international Amazon #1 bestselling author of epic YA fantasy. Inspired by a childhood love of fantasy and a lack of strong female characters, she writes stories featuring powerful heroines.

Living with vitiligo, she draws on her own experiences to shape her characters, including Aimee in the Sparks series. Based in Scotland, Kerry finds inspiration in its landscapes, which influence her dragon-filled adventures and the magical, dark world of her Old Town Trilogy.

Book Launch

Alex Howard has joined us in both Edinburgh and North Berwick and next month he is having a launch for his latest book, The Ship's Cat. Obviously The Glamorous Assistant and I will be there!

Writing Workshop

Elspeth Wilson is running a writing workshop exploring different ways into writing about friendships. Whatever your level of creative writing experience (including none!), the workshop will be friendly, welcoming and accessible.
